On 25 October 2013 at 6.30pm, Sinar College officially commences Tour Guide Course (Kursus Pemandu Pelancong) under Kementerian Pelancongan for April 2014 examination. For this batch, students are divided into 2 classes, namely Malay/Indian class and Mandarin Class. Students come from various background from running own businesses, tourism industry to fresh graduates. They come from Segamat, Kuantan, Muar, Kuala Lumpur and even Shah Alam.
On 25 October 2013, Kolej Sinar team visited Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Tun Mutahir, Batu Berendam as part of its effort to enhance its tie with the school. We were invited by the school counseling teacher, En Khairuddin to give talk to students about the prospect of career in accountancy and tourism industry. About 150 students participated in the event, not including the teachers. Sinar College also earlier on sponsored a SPM Countdown Board to the school. The students and teacher gave warm response to the event. It started at 08.00am and ended at 10.00am.
On 24 October 2013, Sinar College visited Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Seri Tanjung, Tanjung Keling for a talk. We were invited by the school to elaborate the students on the career and qualification in accountancy. About 120 students participated in the talk. It started at 12.00pm and ended at 02.00pm.
On 24 October 2013, Kolej Sinar visited Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Bukit Rambai. We were invited by the school to present talk to students about the prospect of career in accountancy. About 150 students and several teachers listened to the talk. It started at 10.ooam and ended at 12.00 pm.
On 21 October 2013, Sinar College was invited to set up booth at education fair organized by Majlis Guru Kaunseling Daerah Melaka Tengah at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Ayer Keroh. The event started at 08.30 am and ended at 3.00 pm. It was participated by nearly 30 colleges from all over Malaysia and visited by more than 1000 students from schools all over Melaka Tengah district.
On 17 October 2013, Kolej Sinar visited Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Durian Tunggal as we were invited to talk on Association of Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA) qualification. We were welcomed and entertained by the teachers of Prinsip Akaun subject. The talk, held in the computer room, started at 02.40PM and ended at 3.30PM. It was attended by more than 60 students.
On 16 October 2013, Sinar College went to Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Seri Kota as we were invited to present a talk on Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) qualification. The talk started at 02.15PM and ended at 3.15 PM.
On 9 October 2013, as part of our tour at Merlimau, Kolej Sinar paid a visit to Politeknik Merlimau. We went to visit 3 departments, namely, Tourism Faculty, Event Management Faculty, as well as Commerce Faculty. We also visited Pengarah’s office left a souvenir.
We also had long discussion with Ketua Unit of Event Management Faculty regarding our future collaboration.
On 9 October 2013, Kolej Sinar went to Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Dang Anum at Merlimau town as we were invited to give talk about accountancy qualification and career. The talk started at 1.15 PM and ended at 02.30 PM. It was attended by Form 4 and Form 5 students.
The talk that was presented by ACCA representative, En. Jaharin. He explained about Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) qualification and various advantages it gives to the holders.
On 9 October 2013, Sinar College visited Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Pernu at Telok Mas. We were invited by the school to present career talk on accountancy together with Associatiion of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). The talk started at 10.40 AM and ended at 12.30PM.
The talk was held in Pusat Sumber and was attended by more than 120 students. The students were briefed about accountancy career and details about ACCA qualification.
On 7 October 2013, Kolej Sinar visited Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Pernu. We were invited by the school’s management to hold talk and training program for the school’s students. The talk started at 12.30 PM with Alif Asyraf Sardi, the college’s representative talked about prospects of tourism industry and tour guide career. Ahmad Hezri, another Sinar’s representative explained about Sinar College and the courses that it offers. Alif Asyraf subsequently talked and trained the students about various things from communication, motivation and skills to survive in the real world.
Nearly 200 students attended the program not including the teachers. The programme ended at 4.30 PM and we had lengthy discussion with the school management. They hope to engage Sinar College for future collaboration.
On 5 October 2013, Sinar College held a short course for people in Melaka, which focused on English subject. 16 students attended the class. It started at 09.00 AM and ended at 02.00 PM.
On 2 October 2013, Sinar College visited Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Bukit Baru with representative from Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) Malaysia. The talk as attended by more than 60 students. The talk started at 1.00 PM and ended at 3.30 PM.
ACCA Malaysia Student Support Executive, Zaharin Jahim explained about accounting profession, ACCA qualification and various advantages of having ACCA professional qualification. There was also question and answer session between us and the students. Sinar College took the opportunity to introduce the strength of the college and reality of accounting profession nowadays. Sinar College representative gave talk for about half an hour. The talk received warm reception by the students.
